Are payments from Amazon counted as international payments?

If you connect a bank account to KDP or createspace, would you receive payments regardless of any threshold by direct deposit, and at the period in which Amazon claims it will send them? Or can you choose when to be sent the payments at a time which you deem suitable?

I am asking this question because I think that certain banks have fees for international payments (would payments from amazon constitute this?), and these fees can be e.g. £12, thus if I were to be sent the money at the period Amazon designates regardless of amount, I am of the thought that I could be out of pocket if I didn't reach the amount the bank designates as a fee for international/foreign payments, is this correct?
