Would you come back and let us know how you get on?
It might help someone else in the future.

They didn’t return but with it being so late before going might be a challenge changing it tbh

  • Hi Guys,

Just wanted to return the help I received from here in some form. Thanks to TUI, we were able to change to another resort outside of a zika area. We had 1 week in Lanzarote and a refund of the difference. Kudos to TUI!

Thanks again for all the replies guys!

Thanks for coming back and updating, glad it was resolved to your satisfaction .
TBH, that was the outcome I’d have expected. I was surprised when you said that the agent was adamant that a change of destination wasn’t possible - but obviously it was! :D

  • I am meant to be in Mexico as we speak, we booked with TuI, having found out we were pregnant we contacted the travel agent. We were asked to send a copy of something confirming the pregnancy (in our case the early scan from the private clinic) and within an hour they had moved us to Mauritius. Have not been anywhere near the travel insurance, TUI have been most helpful.

    Hope this helps.
