Advice regarding a basic bank account please.

I am in a position where I need to pay a payment for childcare weekly (amount varies each week). I've been doing it online but my current bank account is a pain to do it with. It takes me a relatively long time to log into the website, then to do the transaction - for what should be a quick task. I'd like to be able to do it on an app really quickly but the bank account I'm with doesn't have an app.
What I'd like to do is to setup a simple bank account that I can transfer say £100 from my main account a week to, then use an app to make the payment from there to the childcare provider.
All I need to be able to do is to see the balance and make the payment. I don't want a debit card, or an overdraft or anything fancy but I do want an easy to use app that is quick to make adhoc payments.
When I've searched all the banks highlight their offerings but they fail to demonstrate how good the app based banking is!
Also if there are any incentives for setting up an account, then even better!
Thanks

Starling might be a decent option (good app and almost instant notification of activity), no incentives for setting up the account, but they do pay a small interest on balances0

Meanwhile sign up for Starling Bank or Monzo on your phone, takes a few minutes and you can start using. You may find it's much more convenient to use as your main account and just keep your present one as backup (or switch it).Evolution, not revolution0
