Getting proof of address ?

Just moved into my new place and wondering how to get proof of address should i need it in future ?
Both my banks are all done online, and I have a financial advocate who pays all my bills.

The only way i can think of is getting my BT bill and printing it off ( it has my address in the corner )

Thanks

Won't any bill which has both your name and address do?
However some organizations will not accept a bill you have printed yourself, only an original 'through the post' one.

When I print my statement from online banking it has my address on it. It's been accepted anywhere I've needed it - solicitors for example.

Have you given them your new address? Often that will trigger a letter being sent to both old and new addresses. Or you might be able to get them to send you some other one-off item, even if your regular statements aren't sent by post.

    Driving licence?

NHS details (if you're changing GP)?

    Benefits?

It's free and the last couple of times I've changed my address I've had the new card back in a couple of days. I believe it's also an offence to not update it.

Council Tax, as far as I'm aware they have to send a physical bill.

Correspondence with your solicitor, confirming you as the owner of the "new place" ??

Printed statement from online banking has been fine for me everywhere i tried to this day. Your bank should also be able to send you a paper copy on demand.

You need to register for council tax, and you will get a confirmation letter even if you opt for paperless bill.

Changing one of your direct debits to a different account usually also triggers a letter

If you have a driver's license you have to do it anyway and it takes like less than a week to arrive

Are the bills still in your name even though an advocate deals with them? If so then you've got:
    • Mortgage statement
    • Current council tax bill
    • Current FULL UK Driving Licence
    • House or Motor Insurance Certificate
    • Current State Pension notiication letter
    • Current Benefits Agency letter
    • Bank or Building Society statement
    • Credit Card Statement
    • HMRC Tax notification
    • Letter from Council confirming Electrotal Register listing

The list is not exhaustive. Should you ever be asked for proof of address then the organisation asking should have a list of acceptable forms of proof.
