Recommendations for an all in one print, scan, copy

Options
I'm looking for a printer that is easy to use, won't give software problems and will give a decent print. It would occasionally be used to print photos and onto 300gsm card. Preferably £50 or under but willing to go up to £70.

Hp printer , control everything from the associated app.

You can also scan documents from your phones camera in emergency and email documents remotely direct to the printer which will print them

I use a Canon MG4250, and would recommend this or a similar Canon.

It's of the style that takes paper in from the front, turns it around and ejects also from the front - not sure if this might be an issue for your 300gsm or not....

I have a Lexmark, I would not buy another of this brand. It works fine but the software/drivers are very 'buggy'.

I used to have a Lexmark X75 all in one, worked great and good quality printing etc. but the cost of ink was high, tried non standard but had problems.

Check whether your chosen printer has a 'straight-through' paper path, and the highest weight of paper it will accept. 300 gsm is quite thick...

The cost of the printer will be probably be similar to, or less than, the cost of replacement manufacturer's ink cartridges.
  • Brother Black and White laser. Cheap, reliable, if you don't print for a month it will still work, 3rd party cartridges cheap on Amazon. Software a bit clunky and dated but can do multipage PDFs, colour scans and so on. Quick photocopying.
