Indesit In-Built Washing Machine - HELP!

So essentially, only just recently, never had the issue before, the machine has decided to not spin the wash but ends the cycle.
This is meaning the load is washed just fine, however it is finishing and ending up soaking wet? Yes you can manually spin, but this should be part of the program?
Can anyone advise before I have to accept the cost of calling out a repair man?
Thank you!

Have you tried a different program to see how it behaves?
How old is the machine? If it's a few years old, I'd be inclined to persevere with manually running the spin cycle until the machine fails entirely or you get your hands on an ideal replacement, which you could look for without urgency. Put the repair money towards that new machine.0 -

Thanks, this would probably be my preference, however with a baby on the way in a couple of months, we do need a working machine and I don't want to be left in the lurch with it going bang completely!
I haven't actually tried different programs to do, as you state, perhaps it's just the program I'm using, however if it is I'm not entirely sure how I'd fix that?!0 -
How many programs are there? If other programs work fully, you may find that one is close to the one you normally use. My machine has about a dozen options, only two of which I ever use, but others are similar to the two I do use.
If I were you, I'd preservere but do some research into the right machine and retailer so that you can act quickly if it goes pop and don't have to be choosing under pressure. Manually activating the spin isn't a real inconvenience anyway - presumably you hang the washing out or move it to a tumble dryer after washing, so all that will happen is that you'll go to do that, remember to switch on the spin and come back in 10 minutes to hang it out. It's doable and better than spending £300ish when you perhaps don't need to and when your outgoings are about to increase!
Congratulations for your imminent arrival.0 -

Probably similar to you, that there are about 12 different options. I'll give some of the other programs a try before biting the bullet.
Thanks for your advice, appreciate it.0 -
The other thing to try is to turn it off at the wall and then back on again. I had a problem with a program that kept getting stuck and the on-off must have reset something on the circuitboard because it's been fine for years since.0

I did try this already, but will give it another go just to see what happens. Always works as like a 'hard reset'.0 -
Have you checked the filter?Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

Oh, yeah, I had a similar problem years ago. The filter was full of bits of tissue I forgot to remove from a pocket.0 -
If the filter was blocked, I doubt it would run the spin cycle at all, automatically or manually. It probably wouldn't get past the first drain of the cycle.0

Have you gone right through the user manual, recommended ongoing maintenance, service washes and troubleshooting? Download from the manufacturers website if you don't have a manual.
Any chance you are overloading or unevenly loading the washing machine? Weigh your dry load to be sure. Not all machines nor all programmes on a machine have the same maximum load.
Agree try a different spin programme, slow if fast does not work. And check for blockages.
Even if none of this works you can tell the repair guy, which saves him time and you money.
My mother is really good at looking after appliances, replacing filters and running service washes and all that. Their dishwasher - very reliable brand but a few years old - flooded the kitchen so they got a repair guy in.
Engineer found lemon pips rammed in the drain filter. I had seen them previously and got some pips out from the same place. Mum not impressed AT ALLbecause she has had nagged my dad to empty them out from his tea mug.
Does push me to make more effort on appliance maintenance and check check check everything !! I am trying now to buy certain spare parts (eg. filters that last six months or a year) or cleaning products with a new appliance or soon after.
As you say with a baby on the way you don't want to have to wait to get an appliance back into service. Just grab the spare from a drawer.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
