Yeah an IFA was recommended by a friend at work so I followed their advice. He's asking for an extra £250 to find another mortgage on a used property I'm now interested in.

I have arranged all my mortgages myself. If you have no previous history with bad debts or unusual spending then go for it. I have never understood the need for brokers.0
