Can Bank of Ireland reject my application because I live in England?

    The Financial Ombudsman doesn't have the power to compel the bank to open an account for you, if that's what you mean by "resolve the situation".

    I know that but hopefully I will get a better answer than "Equifax has flagged you up" then "Our commerically sensitive computer system says no" and finally "we have messed you around for 3 months and screwed up wasting a lot of you time so here is £75 now get lost"
