  • Mini update:
Managed 7/15 no spend days for the month so far. It helps working from home! Also realised we need to give the dog his booster so he's booked in on Monday for it.. no idea how much those cost. Off to Edinburgh this weekend with the family for a cousin's engagement party and I'm hoping it's not going to rain too much so we can have a proper look around!
  • How's the mint plant ?

  • Hello, thanks greent and Starnac, it was beautiful and the weather was great - cold but sunny! The hotel we stayed in was brilliant too, great breakfast!
  • Cross Rabbit, thanks for checking in on the mint plant, its currently not doing so well.. the cat has taken a strong liking to it and I keep finding it pushed off the windowsill with its innards spilt across the worktops and little teethmarks in the leaves! I've now moved it to a cat-free zone to give it a better chance of survival. Fingers crossed!
  • Hola just popping in with a mini update:

Managed to overpay another £150 on the mortgage, pay my parents £300 back off their amount and £200 on the interest free credit card. Feeling content and so glad January is almost over... It's such a long month!

Off to Birmingham this weekend to see some old friends and have set myself a small budget. We are going to a thing called Bongo's Bingo so maybe I'll get lucky?

Hello! Little update from me: we overpaid by £306 in February and got within the 79,000's which was very exciting!!

The mint plant is no more, the cat killed it unfortunately. Instead in its place, and less appealing to the cat, is a sourdough starter! I've been lovingly feeding it for a week now and looking forward to try make my first loaf at some point this week wish me luck!
  • Forgot to mention, we've now paid off the hoover from Very woohoo! Also worked out we have around 11 month payments of £200 left on our front doors (even though it's a 29 month 0% credit card so we are overpaying) and 3 months of £65 payments left on the sofa. Getting things on finance is great but I hate having a few going at the same time, so looking forward to these ones finishing!
  • Hello everyone!
So a very exciting month this month.. I got a bonus at work so I managed to pay my dad back by £1600, leaving me only £233 left to pay him next month now. Then that's that debt cleared out, woohoo! They've not been pressuring me for it but it's been 4 years so it was about time I paid them back in full.

Also overpaid another £250 on the mortgage and £200 towards the 0% interest credit card. We also finished paying for the hoover, freeing up £29 a month which I've put into a joint savings account and we have only one month left on the sofa payments so I will be putting that to the joint savings too - gonna round it up to £100 per month. It will feel so good to have some joint savings for emergencies and home renovations!
