What is attracting you to Buckpool? Check the vandalism and crime rate. If you are looking in the North East, Cullen is a few miles east of Buckpool and so much nicer. Buckie and area were full of life and were wealthy about 30 years ago before the Scottish Fishing industry was decimated.0

As I am Mrs Negativity I thought I'd add my two penneth
I moved from SE Oxfordshire to semi rural Wales over 4 years ago . I was based in a beautiful location and will dearly miss that about it , it was to die for ...but that view was still not enough to keep me there a moment longer after 11 months especially in winter .
I had 2 visits from family members and that was it .
I managed to move over the border just over 3 years ago and just this week have agreed a sale back home after 4 very long years away.
I would rent for 6 months first and see how you feel then and also how you manage husbands health in semi rural location.
The dream can still be done without making it permanent .It's a lot harder to move back0
