Living to be debt free in 2019!

June is here!
I am counting down the days until I can repay the rest of my credit card. I sold approx £175 worth of stuff on Ebay last week. Loads of this went towards paypal/ebay fees but it has meant I have approx £99 of profit. I was planning on using it towards debt however I will have enough from salary and my bond to not worry. Instead I have put it in my regular saver account to help build up that buffer. I honestly cannot wait to cancel the final direct debit!0 -
All I can think about is that this time next week...... I will be debt free!
I've had a rotten time with a kidney infection so I've been off work the last couple of weeks. I am hoping work will agree to pay me for my time off. I only have 1 weeks sick pay so I am a little worriedBut either way I will be debt free this time next week.
I know it is wrong to wish my life away but I really can't wait!0 -
Something I do also need to remember is the reason why I got in this mess in the first place. I've had my mum mention a few things and I've had a very honest conversation with her. I am worried that something will go wrong and I will be pulled back into that trap again. I need to stay strong and stay focussed!0

Thank you! I am going to build up savings. Have a solid 6 months expenses put aside. I'm not too sure what will come after that but I have some time to think about it. This feels like it is going to be the longest weekend while I wait for payday :rotfl:0

I did it.... I am debt free for the first time since I was 18. I have just logged in and checked my final credit card is sitting at £0. I will be calling to close down the account tomorrow.
Bit of a bitter sweet moment as work confirmed to me yesterday that I will be losing 2 1/2 weeks pay over the next two months due to my crappy sick pay policy. Doesn't matter that I was signed off sick either... I was second guessing whether to use my savings to get rid of the final amount or whether to
My focus now will be my 3-6 months expenses saved. I have realised there is a lot that I do not need so I can be strong enough to avoid it in future. I hope I have solved my eating/shopping to make me feel better phase and I will be able to look back and laugh.
Thank you to those who have supported me along the way. I know this hasn't been the most fun diary to read. My future feels much brighter without this on my shoulders!0 -
