I had another rubbish day at work today
Pretty much my whole day was having people fob off jobs they didn’t want to do onto me. Normally I am ok with getting on with it but some colleagues are so rude it makes me wonder whether to bother. I'm still quite new so I need to learn to pick my battles.
I came straight home and was so thankful I put the slow cooker on today. Beef stew and left overs for tomorrow.
I also discovered how expensive a card shop near my workplace was today. I completely forgot to get a card for a couple of close birthdays I have this week. Instead of the 9 I need for this busy birthday month I only got the 2 for Wednesday. £2.99 EACH has well and truly taught me a lesson!
Also good news as I had the landlord come over for an inspection today. All was fine and he is a really lovely man. Not long after I moved in, his daughter suddenly passed away and he had to find somewhere for her cat. I happily offered to look after him for a bit and a few weeks turned into Tom the cat staying for good. I have taken on Tom’s costs myself for food, insurance etc and he has promised me I can take Tom with me if I leave. Every now and then he does pop around with some extra food or toys. For Christmas he only asked for half my rent which I have never ever heard of a LL doing before! One person was leaving the downstairs room and wasn’t getting their deposit back so after repairs he was happy to break even by letting me pay half. I never thought I would have such a lovely landlord. At the moment there is only 2 of us in the 3 bedroom house so I am enjoying the peace and quiet.
Fingers crossed work gets better as we week goes on. Don't think I can stick it out much longer0 -
Boo to work/.

Oh Beanielou Tom is brilliant. He is a long haired tabby so I am forever brushing him and having cuddles. It does make it feel a bit more homely which makes me never want to leave here!
Sad to report another awful day at work. It seems to be getting worse and worse! Colleagues fobbing off things onto me for me to sort when they are sitting back laughing and joking. I had about 17 tasks built up at one point. My manager has also quit smoking recently which is making them a lot more snappy. I am starting to wonder whether I should look for a new job but I need to bite my tongue and keep going. I have my 1-2-1 on Friday so I will raise my concerns then. It will also do me well to make sure they are valid, rational concerns as opposed to dramatic because of my emotions.
But a rare 6 hours of overtime have come up. I have jumped at the chance so will be finishing work extra late this week. I don't mind working it in all honesty and will be nice to have a few extra pennies in my back pocket. But I know I will be tired. I need to resist getting food on the way home even more now.
Even with feeling so down, I have not emotionally brought anything! Nothing to cheer me up or to eat on the way home.
I also received £16.20 today for some books I have sold online. Some were only worth 5p but others were a couple of pound each. They aren't particularly sentimental so I am happy to sell them on.
I'm going to earmark this to get me through the rest of the month till pay day and then I will see what is left to chip away at cards.0 -

Definitely is! I did an extra 4 hours today. Only just got home and I could climb straight into bed.
I didn't end up eating all my lunch because guess what? Another awful day at work. Super busy and hated it.
I have asked to speak to my manager tomorrow to discuss issues I am having. I am being given so much stuff to do without any consideration to how new I am. I feel like I have just been shoved into this job without taking the time to learn things properly or the way I learn. I don't expect manager to be very sympathetic but at least I will be able to get it off my chest.:(:(
Money saving front is going as well as can be. Got my lunch made for tomorrow and my flask for my morning coffee. I will be working another couple of hours extra tomorrow so will all be worth it!
Hope everyone reading has a good day tomorrow0 -

Good evening all,
Chat with my manager was ok. Nothing too spectacular but reassurances that I am doing well. I have gone into the weekend caught up with my work so I guess I can leave happy.
I ended up forgetting my lunch today so I went to subway for breakfast and got one for lunch later on in the day.
I am going to spend the weekend relaxing, cleaning and meal planning for next week. I finish late Monday & Tuesday so preparation is going to be key!
Money saving wise - I have returned a few bits I brought online over christmas which have finally arrived. I've had my refunds come through today so they should show back on my cards soon.0
