Would appreciate some help : finance job for a charity

Would really appreciate some help please with a presentation that I have to do next week.

The role is in the finance department of a charity and the presentation is on how to motivate project deliverers to achieve their income targets, reduce costs etc

Would appreciate any thoughts you may have as although I have ideas running around in my head - I'm not sure if I am approaching it from the right angle.

    Well, if you're wanting to reduce costs, then surely something to do with being an MSE would surely fit in?

    They think I'm incredibly knowledgeable at work, and it's all down to Martin and you lot! :rotfl:

    are you going for a job and doing a presentation on that?

    I would pay attention to what kinds of money is being or could be 'lost', and then look at what could be done with it - in the context of service delivery.

    It sounds to me that you need to focus on how to motivate rather than how to cut costs.

    I've found a good website which describes several motivational theories here;

    Good luck!

  • Thanks guys.

    My impression is that project co-ordinators are best used in deliverying the projects although get them involved with the budgets, - to me asking them to deliver income targets is asking them to take their eye off the ball so to speak.....although I'm not sure how well that would go down !

    Fingers crossed!
