I have some old paper £5 and £10 notes. Will the bank still exchange them?
If you will the end, you must will the means.

Google says - by reference to ThisIsMoney - that "If you want to exchange old notes from March (2018), this can only be done at the Bank of England either in person or by post."0

They should be accepted for deposit into your account, if you have one at a bank with branches or Post Office deposit facility.Evolution, not revolution0

Depends on the bank. Natwest says it will exchange them for its customers.

The next sentence is "Some banks, building societies and even retailers may accept the paper notes from March onwards, but there is no guarantee, meaning it is far easier to spend or exchange them before the deadline. "

I got rid of a few £5 via a Santander's ATM a few weeks ago. Instantly accepted without any issues.0

I found an old £10 last year, posted it back to the Bank of England with the exchange form and a few days later the money was in my account.

^This, I deposited mine in a HSBC branch around September. Saved me the faf of sending them to BoE
It's no faff as I explained, and it was cheaper for me to post it to the BoE than to spend time and money driving to a bank branch, paying for parking, and hoping that they would accept the note.0
