So 8-10 weeks ago, leaking shower unit. Has a few plumbers out, all recommend to replace (tbf old set up 15-20yrs old!) as it may be profiling...
Had it all done, spent about 2.5k all in and still leaks! Had plumber out 2/3 times all ready, he said he will resolve but also said it’s xommon on new installs that leaks occur! It’s also sounding like “profiling” again! Ahhhh! I’m confident he will resolve, otherwise I will continue to hassle!! (And he’s highly rated!) 5* online.
My question is have you had a recent Install and had leaks? Is it “common”??
Feels like we paid out when maybe original issue not been sorted???
Roll on 2019!!

Yes it's quite common, speaking from experience. Good plumbers will always test everything when commissioning the bathroom but it's not unusual for the customer to find a leak when everything is being used.
We just refitted our bathroom, no sign of any leaks, then as soon as a relative used it, they managed to find a leak that we missed.
As long as he comes back out to sort it, all should be fine.0 -
If it's common for new bathrooms to leak I must've been doing it wrong all these years.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

I've had two done in the last 2 years, neither have leaked at all.For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.0
