No POPLA Reference provided

Hi all,

I received a windscreen PCN from Workflow Dynamics (workflowdynamics.com) on 20/10/2018 for 'failing to park wholly within an authorised or marked parking bay' at the Trafford Centre (Manchester).

I followed the advice on the Newbies thread and submitted an appeal online after 25 days on 14/11/2018 using the template words. I've head absolutely nothing back from them until 28th December when I received a 'REMINDER NOTICE'.

This puts me in an odd situation as I can't lodge an appeal with POPLA as I haven't got a POPLA ref from the parking company.

Note also that I don't have proof of my online appeal as I can't find the screenshots that I took at the time (I know!)

Any ideas on next steps?

Thanks

so complain to the BPA AOS by email and explain the timeline, attach copies of all paperwork and evidence and complain about the fact that no rejection or popla code has been offered

read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread for how to do this and why

and use the blue text template appeal again and appeal again , as keeper , in response to this REMINDER NOTICE
  • Thanks for the help Redx.

    Update:
I complained to BPA AOS as advised and they responded, after contacting Workflow Dynamics, with a PDF of a letter that Workflow Dynamics claim to have sent to me but which I had not received before the email from BPA.

The letter rejects my appeal and gives 3 options; pay the charge, make a POPLA appeal within 28 days or they'll attempt to recover the debt.

It looks like it is possible under 'very limited circumstances' to submit a late POPLA appeal so I'll do that.

Ypou can point out you have evidnec e- your own - that this was never received

As there is no proof they ever put the rejection in the post, that should suffice for POPLA

Or, you point out that as they cannot prove they sent it, and you CAN prove you never received it (as you have a witness to this - yourself) they should just send another code out, as generating the codes costs them nothing, its only whena code is used do they pay

Of course, their alternatibve is to cancel the charge now, before POPLA tells them to.
