I had a mortgage with C&G that was taken out in 2006 and ended in 2015. I'm unsure if I had PPI with them or not and wondered how I could find out. Many thanks!

Look at your bank statements. C&G only ever retailed standalone monthly premium MPPI.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). 2006 is post regulation of all sellers of insurance products including brokers. If you had MPPI you would have been given a mountain of paperwork explaining what you were getting and with your signature all over it proving you agreed to it and knew about it.
As above, check your bank statements, a monthly insurance direct debit would show you had some form of policy (though it could have been life, critical illness or indeed some form of combined policy).Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
