Depending what you hope to fit and how that might need to be attached, you may need to consider Building Regulations (fire safety) and/ or obtain the written consent of your freeholder or their managing agent.

The party wall should help prevent the spread of fire/ smoke/ toxic fumes in the event of a fire, so holes (for lighting, ductwork, fittings) have to be properly sealed to maintain the fire compartment.

As a short term solution try wax or silicone earplugs (foam are useless).

  • Wow that is great amazing and awesome.

  • You can check the acoustic doors from IAC Acoustics. They are superb in quality and performance. For more info, visit them.
  • Sounds like a soundproofing problem, which acoustic panels wont really help with. The stud walls should help if installed correctly. you need something to block the sound (not absorb it).
