It's back at £100 cash now. OP's question is when did it change back to a cash incentive. English probably isn't their first language.
  • Sorry to derail the thread but I would like to switch accounts.

Currently I have an account with a £710 overdraft.

FD are offering me a £500 overdraft.

If my current account is overdrawn by say £600 when I switch will I owe my old bank £100? How does the switch actually work?

Current bank is £6 a month charge and 18% with a minimal buffer and FD is £250 at 0% then 15% after that.

    Makes sense.

    Thanks

Overdrafts don't transfer when you switch. You'll have to settle any existing overdraft with your old bank in full before the switch can be completed. Your new bank may or my not give you the same overdraft limit you already have - you'll have to ask them.

Although overdrafts are a very expensive way of borrowing money - could you do any better with a loan, or with a 0% credit card?

    Cheers.

    Will look into that now.

Just applied for MBNA money transfer card. I dont like getting it (if I do) but its the smart thing to do in the long run.
  • Does any bank offer 0% overdraft?

At least 3 off the top of my head, and one of them is mentioned in this very thread.
