I'd like to open up a savings account and I've been looking at this one. However, I've been under the impression that savings accounts come with a cost and that they charge you fees? Is there anyone who has this account already? Do you get charged for it?
I don't want to lose any money that goes into it.

What an awful account you’ve chosen as the title. No it doesn’t charge any fees but has a rubbish interest rate of only 0.25% AER.
Best normal saver is currently Marcus at 1.5%. Please read the savings guides on the main page for info.

Where on earth did you get the impression that savings accounts charge fees?
Current accounts often do, savings accounts don't.
Investment accounts (stocks and shares sort of thing) do, savings accounts don't.
If you want to open a savings account read them up, pick the best interest rate that suits your circumstances (bearing in mind the better rates can be fixed term accounts) and go for it.
If you do this I'm pretty certain the rather pathetic Barclays Everyday Saver will NOT be the account you choose!!!0 -
You are in effect being charged for it given the pathetic interest rate. They're ripping you off for more than 1% a year.0
