Default notice help

Options
Hi. How do I find out when a default notice was first issued? I've looked on the 3 free credit reports and don't quite know what I'm looking for. TIA

  • Find the account that’s defaulted and it will also list the date of default under one of the headers

A Default notice, and a default on your credit file, are two very separate things, default notices can be issued and not acted upon.

If you want to know when a particular account defaulted, then as Gary points out above, the date of default will be listed on your credit file.

An example would be something like this :

    Name Mr Joe bloggs
Address 36 any street, any town, any city
    Date of birth xx/xx/xxxx
    Account type Telecommunications Supplier
    Account number **************
    Account start date 01/08/2014
    Opening balance £ 1,823
    Repayment frequency Monthly
    **Date of default 05/07/2017**
    Default balance £ 1,823
