We need some really small tracking devices that you can stick on phones/keys/remotes. We lose them all the time. I put bright cases on my phone but that doesn't help when u have no idea where you last put it lol or its under the sofa (just found my sons deep under the sofa).
All I can find are quite big (really thick big buttons, key fob size things), and they don't stick well, so no good for sticking onto phones etc so they can be found when lost in the house. They are only needed for in the house, not for long distances.
Does anyone have any ideas?

An easy way to find phones at home is to phone them.
For the wider environment there are security apps such as Lookout.
For other items have a look at rfid. Each id tag is cheapish but the locators can be costly!0 -
lol, I might have thought to try phoning the phone, except it only works if the phone is charged and turned on. Not much help when your son tells you he lost his phone two days ago. Obviously, if ringing the phone was a solution, I wouldn't be asking if there are tags that are small enough to stick on a phone.
I am hoping to find a small tag to put on the phone (and other things like remotes). It looks like RFID tags aren't that reliable.0 -
RFID tags are reliable but you need to be very close to them. Unfortunately as what you want involves having to have a battery powered transmitter there's going to be a bulk penalty to pay.
A better idea would be to teach everyone in the house to actually value the stuff like this they have so they don't end up down the back of a sofa or just randomly tossed somewhere. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
