The OP wanted AI, which is why hes unimpressed with Lycia World only offering FB.
  • HI,I've stayed at both the olu deniz resort (8 years ago) and club sun city(2 years ago)
The olu deniz resort was great, couldn't fault it,great staff, great food and everything to a very high standard, couldn't fault it and would go back.

Sun city great also, good staff, clean, nice rooms etc, food good although after 2 weeks it does become a little bit samey - but you could say that about any AI hotel, again I would have no hesitation in returning.

Both hotels are in good locations, sun city is situated directly behind the olu deniz resort, both a couple of Min's walk to beach and shops etc.

Between the 2,I would say that club sun city was better for kids, and olu deniz resort for adults.
When I was last looking at holidays in turkey, club sun city came out a lot cheaper and the availability of free kids place appeared to be better.

If I can be of anymore help, just let me know.
  • We were there over half term and stayed at Belchan Delux.Avoid going with Thomas Cook there was no leg room as we were packed like sardines. Plane was 8 hours late and they didn't put us up in a hotel. Slept on airport chair all night. OD was fantastic as was the hotel, but avoid TCOOK. Belchan was lovely and clean really modern staff were lovely

That map is brilliant - thanks.

Any tips on things to see and do in the area would be appreciated too.

Already planning on going to Fethiye market, as hubby is the king of bartering and can't wait to see what bargains he can get :D
Here I go again on my own....
  • We went paragliding which was fantastic, the bean bag bar on OD beach was great for beers overlooking the sea by a firepit. The kebabs and steaks were great. The Belchan Hotel restuarant was good from traditional Turkish food.I was quite disappointed with Feythi market, it was good for food and spices. Loads fo stalls with fake tshirts and handbags. The main street down to the beach in OD was good, some bargains on leather handbags, definately barter with them.
Turkish people were so so lovely, have a look at the Tripadvisor website forum, some interesting postings on there and hotel reviews.
