I need to keep a car on a driveway for around a month, prior to collection, what is the best way to insure a vehicle for this?

Who, What, Where, Why ???? Rather lacking in info...
Why do you need to insure it? Do you have it insured now or had it insured recently? Add it to your current insurance?

I'm planning on buying a new car (Mazda 3)
But I have a PCP contract VW Polo, so my plan is to purchase the Mazda 3 sometime over the holidays (so I don't have to miss any work to get it.
I will switch the insurance from the Polo to the Mazda but then the Polo will be on my drive without insurance until the time it is collected, which (I suspect) will take around a month.
So I'm wondering what the best insurance option is for the Polo that will just be sat on my drive until VW collect it?0 -
Google "laid up insurance" or "fire and theft only" insurance. As the name implies it covers fire and theft but not anything to do with road accidents, and it is generally cheaper than "normal" car insurance. It doesn't count as insurance for the purposes of the Road Traffic Act so the car must be SORNed and kept off road while it is being used.
If you drive the car from the dealer to home you will need "proper" insurance - Google "short term car insurance" to find some options for getting a one day policy.0 -
Ask your insurer if they will cover it for a month. That maybe too long though. A week or two usually.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
