AVIOS - BA Executive Account

So AVIOS accounts have been closed and points apparently moved safely to a BA executive account?
Has anyone else not heard anything about your apparently new BA account? No email, no letter, no what ever. I am currently missing around 80,000 points (what was left over in my Avios account). I can't seem to speak to the right person at either Avios or BA to tell me where my points are, what my BA account number is and how I access them/get them back.
Anyone have any contacts or ideas of departments I need to speak to?

Try posting on the BA sub-forum over on flyertalk. The folks there are pretty knowledgeable about these kind of things.0

I got my email on my Avios account which had no Avios in it in November. The main point in the email was:
[FONT="]Please activate your new British Airways Executive Club account if you haven't already done so. If you haven't received details of your new account, please call 0344 493 0747.

Thank you, that phone number was the one I needed my account and points were sorted within 5 minutes of dialling it.
Have a great New Year0 -
I've not received a letter with the information to transfer my Avios to BA. I rang the number given on the email -

After 20 minutes of being held in a queue, I had to go. I still hadn't spoken to anyone. I tried Messenger on 17 December to Avios but no reply has come back.0 -
All my miles have been transferred, however, you need to check with partners such as Tesco and Lloyds Bank to make sure that they have your new BA Executive membership number or you won't receive those Airmiles. The difficulty now is trying to spend the Airmiles! The new app is useless! They do not show you what is available like the old Avios website and App! Takes forever to get round the App and in the end you give up and pay for flight through skyscnner!!!0

Last time I flew I booked with the BA website (I don't use apps on a phone) it allowed me to use avios points to part pay. You have to have a BA account and be logged in as it will know how many points you have.
I think it also will show you what flights have Avios seats available so allowing a 'free' seat and a paying seat on the same flight. The availability of 'free' seats is very limited, 1 or 2 per flight depending etc.. You just have to pay taxes on the 'free seat' which isn't such a good deal IMO.
Not sure if they can be used with other airlines.
Another consideration if you don't use them you will lose them , after 3 years I think.0
