Next Big Switch

Good morning to you.....

Unfortunately One Select (my dual fuel supplier) has gone bust. I chose them as I would not have to pay any exit fees as I desperately want to switch to a money saving expert ‘Big Switch’ in the new year.

I have been automatically transferred via ofgem to ‘Together Energy’ and the rates are not as competitive as my last supplier. They are Together OS Dec 18 (inc VAT)

Elec Rates - Unit Rate (p/kwh) 15.02 Standing Charge 25.18p per/day

Gas Rates - Unit Rate (p/kwh) 3.65 Standing Charge 19.06 per/day

Does anyone know when the next big switch is occurring and how I can join? As I don’t want to stay with the new supplier being Together Energy.

I look forward to receiving any advise or suggestions.....

Thanks ‘Festive’ I have put in a switch request to an alternative company via uswitch.

In the new year MSE will be offering around 10,000 places via a uniquely negotiated deal through one of the suppliers.

Do you know what month this will be occurring?? This is so I can switch again in the new year to an even better deal.

Ensure you are signed up to receive either the MSE weekly email, or are a member of the MSE Cheap Energy Club, and you will be one of the first to know if/when MSE make an offering. You'll need to be registered with one of these before the offering is announced to take advantage of it.

But I must admit, you are already ahead of me with the information you already have, so keep an eye on that source too.

But what makes you think whatever and whenever MSE come up with a "uniquely negotiated deal", it will be better than the deal you have just secured? :huh:

You are confusing "uniquely negotiated" which probably refers to the kickback that MSE will be receiving with competitive which few of the previous offerings have been

If the Pied Piper offers a ‘uniquely negotiated’ deal with Together Energy as its next Collective Switch, I just wonder what all those who are now jumping the Together Energy ship will think?

I think that it is evident that no SoLR is going to offer a tariff rate similar to that of the failed supplier given that it was probably this low tariff rate that led the supplier into insolvency.
