Screenscrapers are not always working for you

Homeprotect hiked my renewal premium by 20% this year, so I went to shop around. MoneySupermarket provided very similar quotes (around the £550 mark). So I tried Confused, and for the same cover plus extras it offered £355. (Admiral) Weirdly, the exact same policy by Admiral on MoneySupermarket was £541. Loyalty is a punishable offence - it pays to shop around - and don't trust the screenscrapers to be working for you.

Had you read the MSE guide to choosing car insurance you would have found that it recommends a combination of comparison sites plus checking insurers who don't use the sites.

Admiral coming out really cheap for me this year also. It was Aviva last year.
Must admit i gave up checking Direct Line when they suddenly increased my premium and then just went way OTT on the quotes, almost £1000 when i actually insured the car for around £300 -£350.
I do a few comparison sites and them compare to my club insurance to match if they can. Usually they do.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
