Dementia friends , my local hospital scheme means you commit to 4 hours a week to visit a sufferer and help with mealtime or just chat.

Volunteer at a hospice, normally things like making tea for patients , taking them their meals , Manning the front desk or helping in drop in sessions. If you have a skill like hairdresser , beauty or nail technician or massage etc then that is always something they are looking for.

Some volunteering can be as easy as passing knowledge on to others, like showing how to send e mails, access internet, work a smart phone, help complete an on line form

I volunteer for a well-known heritage organisation. Best thing I ever did. Spending time with like-minded people, and passing on my own passion for the past. Even got my photo on TripAdvisor!!

You could volunteer at your local parkrun too, don't have to run to be part of their Core Volunteer group.
