Morning all! Sister and father here so food consuming qotient increased by ten..Christmas presents were mostly food in a nice hamper and a saucepan I've been looking for, so very happy.Also the best present for a long time, a calendar with my fathers pictures on it, when he;s been out with my sister being silly.
They'll be round in a bit so beter get dressed.
Your postie comes super early BTDT, mine would probably leave anything in the bin with a note through the door....Sausage trials! what a good idea TA Enjoy your day tru, enjoy your book Gers..I know the feeling AOD, have more chocolate than Willy Wonka...
Anyway, hope you're all good today, if not, throw a bit of tinsel at it to distract it and hide under a roll of wrapping paper...

Morning all


Milder here today so I have stripped the beds and got the bedding in the wm, will try to hang it out for a bit.


I have cancelled the cleaner today as we are at home anyway and house is not too bad have asked her to come back next week.


We have to go shopping today for a few bits for the next week we don't need much, I was hoping for some turkey on offer as its my favourite cold meat for a sandwich or with mash and pickles.


Very quick tidy through this morning mainly putting the kitchen and lounge straight.


This afternoon I think dd is coming for a visit they have had her partners little boy there most of the week and I rather think she wants a break from him :rotfl:

Another bad night, I am getting just a bit fed up, think it might be a case of moving into the back bedroom for a few nights.

OH has always been a worry guts, but able to sleep come what may, right now he is worrying that he cannot sleep!! Vicious circle.

It was after 9am before I woke and he was still asleep, so left him to it.

I want to have a quick flip round with the duster and shove the Dyson over the living room carpet, kitchen is ok for now, will maybe clean it on Sunday after supper has been cooked, depends how I feel.

I took my plate to get it repaired yesterday was shattered when I got home, so we had fish and chips last night, frittata tonight, will make the salad in a mo so I just have the frittata to cook later.

Its a fine morning, slight bursts of sunshine periodically......but cold.

Gearing up for a clean up over the weekend, will clear the washing basket Sunday so I can change the bed monday and get the sheets etc washed. They will have to wait to be ironed. I will start the new year as clean as I can manage.

Nothing from our cleaner, no idea how she is, not expecting her back....I know how debilitating whooping cough can be especially when you are no longer in the first flush of youth!! Once again I need to put feelers out for someone else.

Morning all, it's a bright but frosty one !
I slept well last night mainly because I dosed myself up with cold medicine as this cold came back yesterday afternoon with a vengeance :eek:. I think I was keeping it at bay until I relaxed. Could I have " woman " flu ? :rotfl::rotfl:
This morning we have been out to check on the van and called in the local shop for just milk and bread, we won't need anything else for a while :T. Dad came by yesterday too, bearing 3 pork loin joints and a large piece of beef as he had been to Morries. So he has filled my freezer back up, just when I had made some room
This afternoon I want to sort out the chaos in the house, as every room has something in it that doesn't belong in there .
I'll get Mr Fix It to sort out the fridge as Santa left us a vacuum sealer and he loves a gadget. I shall keep out of his way and let him get on with it though, as if it ain't nailed down he will seal it in his new contraption :rotfl:. Just a thought ..... how come he can't use / work the WM though ? :think:

Tea today will probably be either turkey curry or cold meat and chips/salad.

Hi everyone. We are having a quiet day dd and me. Dh is fishing until Sunday so not a lot planned I am doing washing and some cleaning if I feel like it I might sort my kitchen out Will see I might just veg out and whatch films

Afternoon folks. The DGDs were picked up at 12.30 as planned for the matinee performance. I loaded the dw, collapsed with a coffee (with the last of the cream in) and somehow the plan of doing some cleaning once they had gone has lost its appeal!! I think I may just get the recliner (and my feet) up and spend the afternoon watching tv. I'll pace myself doing the cleaning jobs over the w/e instead! I feel too tired tba starting now.

For any interested parties the new sausages were a hit with us all and compared favourably with the ones DB used to get us before our original supplier retired! Just a shame this new butcher is 15 miles away!
