Vehicle Gap insurance

Hi i bought a car on pcp finance from audi uk in july 2017 and would like now to buy gap insurance , a couple of gap insurers recommended by mse have said if its more than 90 days into the deal of taking delivery of the car I cant take out gap insurance, is this correct and are there any companiesthat will insure me for gap at this stage , if not whatcare the alternatives..

    Yes some insurers may have that rule.

    Since you have already owned the car for nearly 18mths it may be difficult to find. I used totallossgap.co.uk

    Note many of the online gap insurers are actually the same company eg:

    The car is 18 months old and presumably you've been paying finance in that time - are you sure there's still a "gap" to insure?!


    Usually you'll have a positive equity situation on the car after 18-30 months depending on the size of deposit you put down initially...
