Hi
I am a newbie here.. So hello everyone..
I recently installed a new boiler..its a mains 24 kW ERP boiler.. I bought a NEST learning thermostat gen 3..The person who fixed the boiler connected the heat-link and I set the up the thermostat.. I was got a notification stating that my heat-link is connected to the thermostat.. but when i tried to control the boiler using my phone and the thermostat I was not able to increase/decrease the temperature .. the guy fiddled with the wiring and couldnt fix it..
Any one connected the nest to mains boiler?
Also is a mains boiler Open therm? also is it a Y plan or S-plan as these have different schematics.
Any help much appreciated.
Regards
SK

We don't know how your fitter has installed the boiler, Y plan or S plan, or made-it-up-as-he-went-along-plan.
AFAICS from the manual the Main ERP boiler is a straightforward 240 volt call for heat.
You cannot adjust the boiler internal temperature setting from the Nest - only the room time/temperature settings.
You need to get the bloke back to fit it, and if he can't work out a Nest Heatlink on an S plan he shouldn't be allowed near a boiler. It's pretty straightforward to anyone who should have been trained on boiler controls.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0
