Toys r us store refund policy?

Hello
Does anyone know what Toys r us refund policy is for a scalectrix bought for xmas that I've changed mind about after a week? Its unopened obviosly, but do they have a policy or a different one in force for xmas?
Or nothing except faulty good refunds?

You have twenty eight days to take it back for a refund with the original receipt or proof of purchase0

I don't really know but judging by there surly staff, couldn't care less attitude (well apart from the security guard who seems to think everyone is stealing) and manky looking shops I wouldn't hold out much hope!

I was refused a refund or exchange on a brand new sealed board game with reciept
I was infomed they have no goodwill policyMad Mum to 3 wonderful children, 2 foster kittens and 2 big fat cats that never made it to a new home!
Aiming to loose 56 pounds this year. Total to date 44.5 pounds 12.5 to go. Slimming World Rocks!0 -

Have you tried looking on the back of the recipt, or on their website?

Thats why I asked here in case anyone knew, website details online returns only and receipt has no mention of refunds.0

I took some unopened stuff back a couple of months ago(a vastly over priced tarmpoline cover) no problems whatsoever even though I had to use a different card as my original one had been cancelled since the purchase0

Hi toys r us like argos and many other shops are no obliged to take back anything without a receipt, if you have no proof of purchase how can you prove that it has been paid for how much you paid for it or even if you brought it from them. If you want to blame people, blame the people that steal from these places these are the ones that have ruined it for all us honest people who genuinely did buy from these place. its simple if you pay by credit / debit card then your transaction can be traced or take along your bank statement to prove that you have purchased it from that company, failing this then please please please keep your receipts its not there fault people steal from them and people loose their receipts!0 -
