Has my car recovery company gone bust?
My car broke down on 23rd December. I needed to contact my car recovery company Drive 24/7 and despite trying I have been unable to get through to them by phone and the online site won’t open at all.
I have searched online for some news announcement that they may have closed but it all seems very quiet,no one discussing them on money or driving forums either.
I wondered if anyone knows why I can’t contact them, thanks in advance.

The site may not have a holiday, but the guy who should have fixed the fault has. I suspect they don't have a vast IT department, in fact the whole operation may be run from the owner's back bedroom.
Then again, they may have gone bust.0 -
Looking at the google cache of their website, it says that they're "Drive24-7 Ltd" - but that company, number 06595077, was dissolved in 2012. That alone suggests their IT is not the most comprehensively operated...
Assuming they're actually "Drive24-7 Insurance Services Ltd", 06910952, there's nothing on Companies House showing administrators have been called in. However, they do not appear to be exactly an A-list outfit...0 -

Seems they have a winding up order.0 -
Thanks for the information, the winding up order dents sound promising. I’m assuming that I no longer have breakdown cover. Last email from them was the one confirming my annual renewal payment had gone through back in August.0

BBA Reman also on the list, is that the company some people on here recommend?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

Thankfully I broke down within a few miles of home and a retired AA man I know was able to get my car started enough to drive home, it’s now a caput.
Sadly he suspects the head gasket has gone!
The local garage can’t fit the job in for a few weeks, so not the best start to the new year.
I paid for the breakdown cover by debit card.0
