Working the numbers 2019 style

Not sure - a monthly bash feels like a bit long, but TBH will probably take a couple of months before I have got it back to how I want it and to model the targets I have set. I do get your point - for me almost everything automatic is in the last week and first week of the months
Also I have one night a week away from home and was looking to use that to get into a bit of a routine of keep fit at the gym, then updating things whilst stuck at the hotel - not because I'm any busier on these days its just the office is much further away with some nasty trafficI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

It might work better for me in the near future as I will be moving and hubby has just retired
Do you keep each receipt and pop them all onto the spread sheet to see the higher spending categories
Oh and don't worry about those that are less than kind helpful etc ove an SOA it's your money and you are sorting it
This is your space there are plenty that maybe able to be of help

Really happy to be debt free after being a compulsive spender0 -
Happy new diary, mark88man, and good luck with your challenges.
Publishing SOAs is a very personal thing, have never published mine but I do know the numbers. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Thank you - I will be after help - in my head I see sorting out the SOA one section at a time after removing the obvious warts. But yes RedoFS it is a bit personal and I need to work on that
Spendy day today - round trip to the seaside to drop DD2 back at Uni, including mandatory farewell dinner (@Nandos this time) and shop at nearby supermarket - where I got 6 workshirts for £42 - I would normally get 5 for £100 - I don't know if that's a spend or a save - However its still 2018 so I won't sweat it
Petrol + Meal + Shopping = £238 coming out of January money so maybe should sweat it a little!! but DD2 is working 2 long early shifts at said supermarket so she is paying her way as best she can so not begrudgedI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

On the long trip spent lot of time talking to OH with DD2 in the back listening to her music. So made a couple of extra decisions more on food and health
- <TBD5> - 3 vegetarian days a week one proper vegan (AF)
- <TBD6> - No alcohol purchases this year
- 18 bottles of wine
- 32 bottles of beer
- about 5 bottles of spirits - new and from previous years
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Thought I'd pop along and look at your diary after you commented (very helpfully) on mine. Definitely a lot of similarities, I'll be subscribing :-)

Hi mark 88,
Good to see you've got your own diary and fab targets! I love a good list and think it helps you focus.
I'm not sure if you've heard about receipt hog? It's a free app that collects your shopping receipts (and no doubt sells your anon info for vast amounts of money) but it rewards you with coins that can be exchanged for vouchers or Paypal credit. I joined mid November and have just hit £3's worth. It's very slow going until you level up, so I'm sticking it out as nothing better to do!
My kids are complete wombles and will collect any receipt they seeI'm going to see how we get on a d save amazon vouchers for next Christmas.
