My turkey

Options
Well i wont be buying a golden bronze turkey from Iceland next year. Got the large one and when out of wrapper noticed the breast was small. there was a large distance between breast and legs. a huge cavity of nothing. I did not have to stuff in stuffing as i just laid on the cavity. The weight must have been all on the legs and thighs.as it sure wasn't the breast. Very disappointed as we did not have left overs.just fed 5 sparingly. BAH.

    Ok .
  • Just write and tell them their breast is too small for your liking. They might compensate you.

Bought a turkey breast from Tesco and 4 dirty great big turkey legs from Sainsbury's, no scraggy wings and plenty of legs to go around.

I got a turkey crown from Iceland - very happy with it. Really tasty, not dry at all, and plenty of it there!
  • As stated the leg and thigh meat is better anyway and if it is a better quality bird it will be a more natural bird and not force breed/fed for plumpness.

Depends on your method of purchase:

    - If online then consider not buying turkey online next year, OR buying it in good time as to ensure that you can pick up a decent one and/or have time to kick off if it isn't up to scratch.

    - If in-store then try and figure out why you didn't see this when buying said turkey.
