UKCPM Ticketing on the Highway - Council and Police Involved

UKCPM overstepping the mark in Bromsgrove by erecting signs and ticketing on the highway.

What are the IPC going to do? What are the DVLA going to do? I wonder if Worcester County Council will prosecute? As usual, UKCPM have made no comment.

The industry shows more signs of being even further out of control.

I smell compo, Woodrow Close is clearly not private land, why did the residents not remove the signs.

Anyone ticketed by the scammers whose details were obtained from the DVLA surely has a case for a DVLA breach.

No doubt they will just get away with it as usual, it will be put down to the industry standard "admin error"!
  • staff "retraining" is the norm
  • One has to wonder who "invited" them in, especially to such a relatively large stretch of road? Look on GSV, and the housing is clearly several decades old, so not a new development, and the roads don't appear in any way to be private (not that it's always obvious).

I would expect some statement asking the lines of..............UKCPM regret any confusion caused by this incident, which occurred due to a rogue employee incorrectly placing signage. UKCPM operates an industry leading appeals service, with further appeals handled via an independent appeals service, the IAS. Drivers who have been issued Parking charge notices in these cases are welcome to use our appeals service, and the IAS if required. We would like to warn members of the public that removing/tampering with our industry leading signage is theft/vandalism and will be treated as such accordingly

Don't forget the catch-all "lessons have been learned", which crops up all the time in news broadcasts.
