Jobseekers/Universal credit

I’m supporting my friend with some work issues at the moment. Basically she has been employed by a home care company who have been actively trying to encourage her to leave for some time. This culminated in a false allegation of assault against her manager (no witnesses and in fact her manager assaulted her). Her manager then said she was mentally unfit for work and suspended her until her gp cleared her fit, which was the next day. On the back of this they have called her to a disciplinary meeting where it’s clear they intend to dismiss her. We’ve taken advice from ACAS and legal advice and all have said it’s clear they are engineering her out of her job.
We were advised to put in a grievance which we have and I will be accompanying her. She is going to need to apply for benefits. Is it better for her to allow her employer to dismiss her and then show the Jobcentre Plus all the evidence she has that they engineered her dismissal, along with her lengthy grievance letter? I believe this will mean she’s sanctioned at first but then will hopefully get her benefit back. Or is it best at the grievance to ask for them to state their real reason for getting rid of her which is because she doesn’t have a car and ask for agreement they will give her a reference. She’s only been there a year so limited employment rights but I wondered if effectively a compromise agreement is made agreeing they got rid of her would that affect her entitlement to benefit?
I just need to know how’s best to help her at the grievance meeting as she’s dyslexic and so needs a lot of support and help to understand.
