Engineered door reduce height?

I need to replace an internal door but nearest size i. Can find is an inch too big in height
Would I be able to reduce it without damaging it
Any ideas

  • Wooden doors often come with information on how much they can be reduced in size by, so find the door you are interested in and check to see if the information is available.

    Are you taking the flooring into consideration? Usually that's about 10-12mm.


    Depending on the door you might have to take a bit from top and bottom, not so important if it's a solid wood door.
