2nd delivery of the month arrived today adding £45.87 to our running total but I'm beginning to realise just how much more expensive Mr T is compared to Ald! and supplementing with the local Asian and African shops for dried goods, herbs etc so will need to have a sit down and think about the logistics of shopping that way with a 3 month old in tow and arthritic joints
So far we've spent £94.82/£2400 -
My first spend of the year in Aldi this morning £22.19/£250.TOTAL DEBT @ 01.02.20. = £21,452.67 :eek:0

Up to nearly £62 already this month, but have had 3 NSDs so far. Will be making more effort to go to Ald! etc - Sainsbugs is my closest, and much more convenient, and I do shop carefully, but I know I can still do better.
Still plenty in the cupboards/freezer, and will be making hot meals for the littlies to take in their food flasks for school lunches from tomorrow. Also going to do a load of baking mid-week, partly for pack-ups, partly as it's cheaper than buying all the time - got into a few bad habits lately!

Evening all. Everyone's doing so well and helping each other out.
Today was another NSD for us as OH did a lot of housework and I recovered from the late nights I've already been doing for some clients in the last week. As in, I worked until 1:30am two nights in a row and then the client put the pause on the campaign on Friday night.
We're steadily working on eating down the freezer and pantry. OH made/mixed muesli to eat for his breakfasts the next couple of weeks and made overnight oats to last him the next three mornings. I told him about a soup he had in the freezer so he pulled it out and will take it for his lunch tomorrow. I just pulled out some beef curry and a pork chop from the freezer for me to eat the next couple of days. We still have a head of broccoli and string beans in the fridge so we may be covered until likely Tuesday or Wednesday evening.
Tomorrow I'll likely head out to get more Greek yoghurt for OH's overnight oats, bananas, and a few other items.
TOTALS SO FAR:
€26.27 / €350.00

Thank you to everyone who sent hugs and sympathy. :heart2:
So, I popped in to morries yesterday for a bottle of water (I know, I should have remembered my refillable one!) and accidentally wandered past the ys section and picked up 2 packs of 2 creamy mushroom chicken breast kievs for 80p each (they were lush!). Then I remembered that I needed cheese and butter so nipped to Ald1, who had just marked some of the meat down to half price. So, of course, I had to grab an armful - 3 packs of sausages, 12 meatballs, 2 packs of chicken sizzlers for £5.58. Last stop, morries again late on for a few dairy bits and some cheap instant noodles for lunch.
Total spend £16.34/£65 but I don't think I'll need much more for the week (especially since I've a mountain of leftovers from DS2's birthday today.
I'm impressed with everyone's restraint!

A very small spend of £1.85 on rolls and milk..
Am slowly making a list of things that I will get at some point this week, especially as I am working a fair bit.. Will be odd when the boys go back to college, have got used to not making lunches etc.."There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇0 -
Still spent nothing, though I'm making one hell of a list for our party on Friday.
DH made me 'charge' the wine and crisps for book club to grocery, not pocket money, which means we're now down to about £150 for the rest of the month. If we can do the party shop+next week's shop for under £80, I reckon I can do the remainder of the month for £80...it'll be tight but doable.
I picked a load of beetroot yesterday (we leave it in the ground until we need it) so I see some soup in our future!0 -
Hi All,
I've managed to avoid any major shopping since the year started.
The only thing I have bought is bread, £1.19, Teabags £2.50 and £1.99 (PG and decaff) and signed up the Milkman £1.90 a week so £7.58 so far.
Will probably need to go end of this week as Im low on fresh veggies (I eat pescetarian diet), plus suitable foods for ASD DS. But I'm setting a challenge to myself for sub £40 for that oneWealth is not measured by currency0 -
£10.77 in Lidl. Nothing major, mostly bits for lunches for the week. Pleased to get some third off sandwich meat though, as I make sandwiches in bulk, and put them in the freezer. So saved a bit there.Because it's fun to have money!
