I am currently researching the costs of owning a dog in particular dog insurance. Have any of you got do's and don't when it comes to this subject, please?

They often have posts on insurance, it would be worth searching that first.

We're with Petplan. They're dearer than most but have very good links with vets and quick refund of costs.

As always, all insurance is not the same, buying on cost alone doesn't work, you need to consider the differences in policies.
