  • OP I'm sorry but you still don't get it.

A mortgage, so when and how are you going to be able to save for a deposit of at least 10% of the value of what you will want to buy?

When will you be able to save for the costs of buying a property?

When will you be able to save for all the furniture, electricals and every thing else right down to the kitchen washing up bowl?

You are living in cloud cuckoo land.

Sorry for being harsh but it is reality.

Yes but going to debt management or debt help I won’t be able to get a mortgage when I’m older in a few years time so I don’t want any of that

It will scupper my chances of getting a mortgage for a house

With debts like this and a low wage you will not get a mortgage "in a few years time". You need to get rid of this debt.
Can you get an evening job or term holiday job? Could you advertise that you could babysit?
What did you buy with the money? Do you have anything to sell?

Not necessarily, credit file information is never forever.

I can understand your concerns, but tell me this, what do you intend to do when you can`t meet your financial obligations any longer ?

Believe me, i have seen this situation many, many times, and been there myself, where are you finding this extra £500 a month from now ?

by juggling payments, and/or borrowing it most likely, that cannot go on forever, sure as eggs is eggs, this will all come crashing down unless you take positive, and pro-active steps to help yourself.

You need to accept that something has to give here, and a few defaults on a credit file is not the end of the world, priority is getting rid of this debt before you can even ever dream of obtaining a mortgage.

£8,000 in debt with loans and credit card and overdraft

I’m paying all in time and more if I can

    My wages don’t stretch

Can’t get balance transfer card or anything as I’ve applied for a few in the last 6 months in a short space of time

Don’t want debt help like citizens advice or debt support or step change I’m sorting it but don’t know what else to do

    Any ideas

    M&S £3,133.56. £335.54 per month
    Halifax £1,000.00 £100 per month
    Starling £1,000.00 £100 per month
Halifax credit card £2,632 £500 per month
Halifax loan £3,697 £241.52 per month
    Phone bill £100
    Nails £50
    Rent £100
    Food/toiletries £50
    I earn £1,089 a month

    It’s over my wages

Plus I’ve got overdraft charges to pay also £90 in charges

So, if I understand you correctly, you added an additional £3462.56 (over 40%) to your already unnaffordable debt overnight?

Why are you attempting to pay Halifax £500pm, on a credit card debt of £2,632 ???

Well do they know your financial position?

You can't rely on them bailing you out forever.

They are not helping you get out of your mess.
