Balance transferred still getting interest charges.

Please forgive my ignorance on this but I’m trying to get on top of my finances and now I’m confused. My interest free tesco card was causing me all sorts of trouble when I hadn’t finished paying off when the term had ended. I was advised to balance transfer to a 0% interest card to continue paying it off which I have done. Now I’m still being charged interest on my tescocard that is not being used. I wanted to close the account completely but was advised against it. Why am I being charged for an unused account and what’s the best way to resolve it?

What are you being charged interest on if there is a zero balance on the card? Have you spoken to Tesco and asked about this?

Possibly trailing interest. Unfortunately, the OP doesn't state how many statements he or she has received with an interest charge.
