Scatter graph help in excel

Hi

I have an excel scatter graph - around 80 point in it. Is there a way of formatting each point into a different colour - red, amber or green.

I know I can do it manually which would take a huge amount of time but wondered if it can be automatically by doing something to the source data.

Hope that makes sense?

  • With Excel there are many attributes that are not readily obvious, can be programmed or are available via add-ins.
Programming is usually done in VBA/Macros and add -ins uxually have bedn based on that same code. The coding is certainly worth learning if you will do a lot of comp!icated Excel work but otherwise doing a suitable search can often produced methods from some experienced and lateral thinkers!

You need can be done fairly easily by having several data sources rathef than the one. See one idea at https://peltiertech.com/conditional-formatting-of-excel-charts/
