Only after the last tree has been cut down. Only after the last fish has been caught. Only after the last river has been poisoned. Only then will you realize that money cannot be eaten.

Your solicitor (or the borrower's solicitor, if you're the donor rather than the borrower) ought to be able to clarify what's needed.0

The requirement varies from lender to lender.
Some have a pre-drawn form, others have a letter requirement.I am a mortgage broker. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Roughly...Dear Sirs,
We confirm that we, INSERT NAMES OF PERSONS GIFTING THE MONIES, are gifting nnnnn nnnnnn and mmmmmm mmmmmm , the sum of £XXXXX to assist in the purchase of a property at xx ???????? Road. We confirm that we are the applicants’ INSERT THE RELATIONSHIP OF THE DONOR TO THE APPLICANT respectively and that this amount is a gift, not a loan, and that we will have no ongoing financial interest in the security address.
Kind regards,
