My Mum has asked me to fix a problem on her laptop. She didn't click on anything when an message popped up saying 'This site says firewall has defined...' I can't remember the rest of the message apart from it saying system files need to be deleted, click ok.
I've scanned the laptop with Malware Bytes (nothing found), Adwcleaner (2 PUP optional legacy found, quarantined and deleted) and Hitman Pro (46 tracking cookies found).
Is there anymore I need to do?
Thanks!

Sorry it's been awhile since I have replied - have been away for Christmas.
No toolbars, and the most dodgiest site visited has been eBay.0 -

Just avoid visiting that website, if that's where you see the messages.0 -
Don't think eBay is a dodgy website. Anyway, it could have been just a pop up window and not something installed on the computer.

She opened up edge, was on the homepage (msn) and the message popped up. I doubt it came from there so must've downloaded something from a previously visited site.0
