Hi,
my partner has just asked me to compile his customer details he has on excel into a database. By this he means he wants to be able to click on his customers details and for it to open up in a new page individually. Where do i start, please any help appreciated. I'm not to knowlegable with access which doesn't help.

The first walks you through a manual conversion, the second is a program you can download and run to do it.0 -
Excel isn't a database, it can manage lists or customers etc but nothing complex. Really for this type of storage you should use a proper database, if you have Office Professional you'll be able to use Access, or if you want a good alternative, FileMaker is an excellent product and comes with many templates for small businesses.
Both are deceptively simply, but to do anything complex requires a great deal of knowledge, if you get stuck post back, I live my life in those two products
