Npower Super FIx March 2012 V3

Hi,

My partner and myself are currently with Npower and on the Super Fix March March 2021 V3 DD for gas and elcetric. Now our prices got put to £89pm in April under this tariff and now been told our DD is going to £131pm. Npower believe thats correct for our usage but im pretty sure they advertise this tariff as fixed price. has anyone else had similar problemt like this with Npower and do you resolve it? Or just leave?

    Fixed price on a 2012 contract ??

Has your tariff prices changed or is it just the DD ??

Here's some more information about Super Fix March 2021 v3:

Prices are fixed until 31/03/21, subject to governmental or regulatory requirements. Your prices may increase if you change your meter type or the way you pay, or you no longer meet the eligibility criteria for this tariff. If there's a change in the rate of VAT chargeable for the energy we supply, this could also increase the charges you pay.

Welcome to the forum. The only things that are fixed in a fixed tariff are the term; the upper limit of the standing charge, and the unit price. Your monthly payment is nothing more than a 'piggy bank' from which charges for actual usage are deducted. If you are using more energy than was in the projected usage when you signed up, then the DD will be increased. The way to get accurate energy estimates going forward is to provide the supplier with monthly meter readings.

Any credit/debit balance on your account is only accurate for the billing date and only then if it is based on actual meter readings.

In sum, fixed tariffs are not 'all you want to consume' energy tariffs at a fixed price.

Let's go back to basics re your consumption.

What were your readings when you started this tariff and have you been reading your meters at least every month and sending them to nPower or have you a host of estimated readings on your bills ?

    What is your reading today
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
