Bought the O/H an album for Christmas off Amazon, the next day I received and e-mail for 3 months free of Amazon music unlimited, which is handy as I bought myself an Echo Dot on Black Friday.
Does this mean I can ask Alexa to play a random song I like and also a full album?

Depends on what the offer is. You can get limited music selection with Amazon Prime, or the full selection by subscription, £3.99 a month for single device, £7.99 for several devices or £14.99 for six family members.
So check which offer they are talking about first.
When you have it you can ask Alexa to play one of about 30 million songs.0 -
And if your lucky she might actually play them, ive found its a bit hit and miss, the volume varies, some songs are repeated, its far from perfect.0
