Can you still log in BOS using Halifax details?

Last year, I opened a BOS monthly saver account by log in BOS using my Halifax account login details. Today I tried it again but was rejected. Is it just me or BOS has changed to disallow Halifax login details?

You can see your BOS accounts when logged into Halifax, and vice versa. You can't, however, apply for a BOS account when logged into Halifax, and vice versa. I am sure you didn't open a BOS MS when logged into Halifax.
Halifax and BOS always had different usernames, so if you have a need to log into both, you need two usernames. The rest of your credentials can be the same.
Try "forgotten username", I am sure you've got a BOS one if you had a BOS MS0 -

My Halifax & BOS details, including username, are identical...and always have been. I can't, however, log into both simultaneously (but why would I need to?).0 -
I don't think that the credentials for both banks have to be the same, I'm pretty sure when I setup mine that I had the choice of username, password, security word etc so it could just be that people have chosen the same details for both banks. For example, my wife has accounts with both banks but has different login details for each.
Also, why can you not login to both online banking systems at the same time? I have just tried and can login to Halifax and Bank of Scotland using different tabs in the same web browser.0 -
Thanks all for the replies.
To clarify, I never registered online banking with BOS. But I used to be able to use my Halifax login details to login to BOS. I appreciate that I cannot apply BOS accounts from Halifax online banking. That's why I had to login to BOS using my Halifax details, following the advices here, in order to open BOS accounts.
Last year I had no issue to do this. But this year, BOS online banking seems no longer accepting Halifax login details:-(0 -

Still not working for me. No issue to log in Halifax.
I am now wondering if someone registered with BOS using my Halifax user id and cut me out in the process...0 -
I remember that I could not log into BOS with my Halifax username when I first tried to open a BOS MS. That was a bit over a year ago, as that MS has matured in the last few days. I had to register separately for BOS. I tried using my Halifax username for that but BOS wouldn't have it. I ended up choosing a BOS username that's very similar to my Halifax one.0

I've never had any dealings with BOS, but have had Halifax accounts for many years.
My Halifax login credentials do not allow me to log into BOS.9210358 : Sorry but we can’t identify you from your username or password. Please try again0 -
I am able to log into BOS with my Halifax details, I have never registered with BOS.
I did get an email a while back from BOS saying as I hadn't used online banking with them for over a year they would revoke my access unless I logged back in. This could be a reason why you are unable to access BOS with your Halifax details.
I would just reregister if needed.
