I think £250 for mirror wills for a solicitor with a good reputation is not a bad deal. MSE in the sense that not going for the cheapest but the best value!
LPA's in your situation can wait a little I think, until you are happy with itI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

I agree with Mark that £250 isn't bad for mirror wills and u would recommend it.
I would say LPOA is important but it probably could wait until in the new year. It is relatively straight forward to do in all honesty with you. Most people look at forms and panic but alot of it won't apply to your situation.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200

Lovely to hear your puppy news and 🤞you get to take all the annual leave as planned, it would be great for you to have a few regular breaks from the demands of work.
We need to get our wills updated (last one pre-kids) and look in to LPOA, it's one of those jobs that I never seem to get around too so thanks for giving me a virtual reminder 😊5 -
Thanks all.... we've booked in to get wills written and will revisit the LPA idea in the new year
The puppy is lovely, but they're such a lot of work! I feel like I've got another child in the house
Feeling very tired at the mo, so am very much looking forward to some time off at work. I've taken screenshots of December annual leave and I think if they try to cancel it, I'll just refuse to go in. They've basically cancelled all my annual leave since March (give or take a couple of days), I need a break. My joints ache and I'm worried I'll end up making a mistake at some point. I've had an informal chat with HR and Occy Health and they were both supportive, suggesting speaking to my union if it happens again. Several of my colleagues have done the same and the manager is aware, so hopefully it won't arise!DFD March 2025 (£35000 paid off)

Has anyone swapped their house for another to be mortgage free? We had our house valued last week at £750k (£725k for a quick sale).... we're half wondering whether to move further from London, but still within a 90 minute commute. If we downsize slightly too, we could buy a £400k house outright. We could then save/invest the £1650 a month we're currently paying on our mortgage. We'd aim for about 18 months time, which would be an ok time for kids school years (noone doing GCSEs/A-levels).
I think we're having a bit of a mid life crisis and are bored of working so hard to maintain our expensive lifestyle and live in a pricey area that we don't even particularly likeDFD March 2025 (£35000 paid off)
